Director Raju Murugan’s Joker has got two National Awards, one for the Best Tamil film and the other one for the Best Singer for Sundarayyar. Behindwoods shares with you the delight of director Raju Murugan and the lead Guru Somasundaram.

Raju Murugan says, “More than an award for me or an award for the film, it’s the recognition and a dedication to all those who individually or through an organization fight for the rights of the oppressed class. I see the award in this manner. Another important aspect is singer Sundarayyar getting the Best Singer award. He is from a village singing there. I am very happy for him”.

Lead Guru Somasundaram states, “I am very happy. Now more people will watch the film as it is ought to be seen by many. Additionally, there will be more producers who would come forward to bankroll such films”.
