STR started 2019 with his Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven directed by Sundar.C and produced by Lyca Productions. The film also starred Megha Akash, Catherine Tresa, Ramya Krishnan, Prabhu, Nasser and others.
Venkat Prabhu and Simbu are coming together for Maanadu, a political thriller which will be produced by Suresh Kamatchi. STR’s recent look for his next film with Venkat Prabhu went viral, a few days ago.
Although they were rumours that the film has been dropped, the producer denied all the rumours and affirmed that the pre production and discussions for the movie are going on in full swing.
Now sources confirm that the female lead for the movie is cast. Malayalam actress Kalyani Priyadarshan, who is currently working with Sivakarthikeyan in his film with P.S.Mithran, has been cast in Venkat Prabhu’s Maanadu. More details on shooting of the film and further details are expected soon.
