What can one tell about the upcoming movie 'Master'? It is probably the most awaited release of 2020 considering the rise to fame of its director Lokesh Kanakaraj and that 'Thalapathy' Vijay is the protagonist. So anything related to this movie has been very well received and when this song was released on Youtube, one can understand the hysteria to get online and listen to Anirudh's single.
The composer is known as the musician of the masses today in Tamil Nadu and that is no mean feat to earn that title. He has this peculiar knack of combining good quality music with a sufficient dose of public-demanded style.
The song is sung by Vijay himself. The actor delivers a preachy song and the likability of his voice is intact as it adds more to the fun vibe of the song. In fact, he does emote well in the song which reeks of simplicity in its structure or notes.
Kutti Story is very simple in composition, with its minimal usage of instrumentals. The bass guitar and percussion that run along throughout the song are very enticing. One can envision this song becoming a college and teenager anthem that gets played in all college festivals. Last but not least, a big applause to Arunraja Kamaraj (director of Kanaa) who penned the lyrics and Logi who created this very cute and interesting lyrical video.
