MASTER'S KUTTI STORY LYRICIST ARUNRAJA KAMARAJ REVEALS: 'DREAM STORY FOR VIJAY, NEGATIVITY OF FAN WARS'

In an interview to Behindwoods, the 'Kanaa' director spoke about the influence of Vijay's speeches that went into crafting the song, his concern over fan wars and much more. Arunraja Kamaraj felt that the song will be accepted by audiences for its positive outlook, but was surprised by the widespread rage of the fun-filled number.

"I was listening to the tune repeatedly and after a point, I started to fall in love with the beat as I was so hooked  while listening to it. After a point, I stopped listening and I started to write. While writing, i speak to myself and accumulated a few options for words. After brainstorming with the composer, we picked up the right choice of sentences. The second charanam was written on the spot."

When asked to pick the favourite line from Vijay's audio launch speeches, Arunraja quickly responded by quoting the phrase 'Ignore negativity' from the actor's speech at Mersal's audio launch and cited the example of online fan wars to convey the importance of that phrase "There are many fan wars happening at present. It is normal for everyone to think that their favourite star is bigger than the others. But for the sake of arguing 'your star is bigger is bigger than mine', (they) are using abusive words without understanding that it is a wrong practice.

If one continues to involve in such fights, they will get stagnated at the same place. A positive-minded person will get ahead of them by either getting a good job or by following his dreams. Whereas they will be staying at the same place."

When asked about the kind of genre and story he will choose if he were to direct Vijay, Arunraja said that the choice of story and genre will depend on Vijay's liking and the relevance of story with respect to the timing of their collaboration.
