We had reported earlier that, Deepika Padukone’s next film Padmavati directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali is facing strong opposition from various communities and reports suggest that, some leaders have even vouched to reward a high amount to someone who would behead the actress.


Following this issue, the Karnataka Government has stepped up the police security for Deepika Padukone’s family that resides in Bengaluru. Her family includes her father, Prakash Padukone, her mother and sister. Talking to the media, Prakash has said that it is true that the police have been appointed but he does not want to talk about it further as it is a sensitive issue. Sanjay Leela Bhansali Padmavati controversy fringe group bounty 1 crore to burn Deepika Padukone alive

The controversies surrounding Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Padmavati have taken an extreme and dirty turn, with a fringe group now having publicly offered a bounty Rs. 1 crore to burn Deepika Padukone alive, according to reports.

Akhil Bhartiya Kshatriya Mahasabha (ABKM)'s youth wing leader Bhuvneshwar Singh has reportedly said, "Deepika should know how it feels like to be burnt alive. The actress will never know the sacrifice of the queen. We demand that office-bearers of the organization be shown the movie before it is released."

Members of the party also burnt over a hundred effigies of Deepika and Bhansali at Damodar Swarup park. They have submitted a memorandum to the district collector of Bareilly, demanding a ban on the release of the movie.
