Sridevi Bungalow is an upcoming movie that has Priya Prakash Varrier, who took the internet by storm last year, in the lead role.
It is directed by Prasanth Mampully and produced by Aaraat Entertainment. On the technical front, it has 4 Music leading the music department, Babu Ratnam in charge of the cuts, and Sinu Sidhart taking care of the cinematography.
The teaser of this film had released, and has already run into problems. Producer Boney Kapoor has filed a case against the makers of Sridevi Bungalow, because of the striking resemblance to the actress' death. Sridevi passed away early last year after she accidentally drowned, while the last shot in the teaser shows a lady drowned in a bathtub.
Responding to these allegations, the director, Prashanth has accepted that a defamation suit has been filed against him. His response is as follows:
“We received a legal notice from Mr. Boney Kapoor last week. And we will face it. My film is a suspense thriller. I told him that Sridevi is a common name. My film's character also happens to be an actress. We will face it.”
It must also be noted that Boney Kapoor is the producer of Ajith's next film, directed by Vinoth, that ois that remake of Pink.
