“PONNIYIN SELVAN STILLS...” - A R RAHMAN’S TERRIFIC 'LIT' COMMENT IS GOING VIRAL!
Home > Tamil Movies > Tamil Cinema NewsAce director Mani Ratnam is currently busy with the production process of 'Ponniyin Selvan', the silver screen adaptation of the five-part Tamil novel written by Kalki Krishnamurthy. The director's last-helmed film, the ensemble gangster epic Chekka Chivandha Vaanam, went on to be a critical and commercial success.
Produced by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, the film has a star cast that includes Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Sarathkumar, Ashwin Kakumanu, Lal, Riyaz Khan, Arjun Chidambaram, Mohan Raman amongst others in prominent roles.
Jointly scripted by Mani Ratnam and 'Kaatrin Mozhi', 'Kurangu Bommai' fame actor Kumaravel, the first schedule of the upcoming epic drama had already kickstarted on December 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand and is said to have wrapped up the first schedule.
Meanwhile, the music composer of the film, AR Rahman took to his social media and gave us an insight of how the movie has shaped up. He wrote, “"Last week DOP Ravivarman shared some stills from #ManiRatnam’s #PonniyinSelvan ..looks totally lit". Waoh!
