“PEOPLE ASKED ME NOT TO PLAY A PROSTITUTE”, ANUSHKA OPENS UP!

Anushka, who is eagerly awaiting the release of her Baahubali 2 directed by SS Rajamouli is known for playing really challenging roles. The actress, in an exclusive interview with Behindwoods, was asked about her choice of roles and the number of years she invests in a film. To this, Anushka said:

“Yes, it is my call. I like investing time in films which are close to my heart and that gives me a conviction about them. I do them if I like them. All my roles are very different right from Arundhati, Vaanam, Rudhramadevi and Inji Iduppazhagi. In fact, after Arundhati, people asked me not to play a prostitute in Vaanam/Vedam. But I am not someone who listens to people blindly and I believe it was worth my time and hard work. Same way, SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali was a long yet adventurous journey that I have enjoyed thoroughly.”
