'Aadai' is an upcoming film directed by 'Meyaadha Maan' fame Rathna Kumar, starring Amala Paul in the lead role, The film is produced by Viji Subramaniam under the banner V Studios and features Pradeep Kumar and his band Oorka composing the music. Vijay Kartik Kannan handles the cinematography and Shafique Mohamed Ali heads the edit department.

Amala Paul's Aadai case filed due to naked scene promotion

The gasping teaser and the gripping trailer of the film of the film had evoked high response from the audience and celebrities in the social media. Various celebrities had appreciated the bold and daring attempt of Amala Paul for this film. The film is set to be released on July 19th.

Recently, a group headed by Rajeswari Priya of 'Anaithu Makkal Arasiyal Katchi' had filed a case against the film. "We have given a petition to stop the promotion of the film using the naked scene pictures in posters and other medias." stated Rajeswari. "They might have a storyline with good intent, but there was no need to promote using that particular scene continuously. Amala Paul need fame and money and for that she will do anything" She added.

Rajeswari alleged that the pictures evokes bad vibes to children who accidentally see it in news papers or posters and that "there are already too many things which promote our culture's downfall like  Tik Tok and the show Bigg Boss, where the contestants dress very badly". She also said that "The film has been approved by censor and the adults who choose to watch it can do so, but it must not be publicly promoted as it affects people, specially children who did not intent to see it"

She also stated that actions are already being taken from the government's side. They have promised to stop the use of those pictures in posters and television soon. Watch the video below to know further about this issue:
