5 tamil films selected for Goa International film festival

The month of October saw one of the best phases for Tamil cinema. All the films running in theaters were highly celebrated critically and commercially. 

One of those films that got a great word of mouth and appreciation was debutante Mari Selvaraj's Pariyerum Perumal, produced by director Pa Ranjith. The film stars Kathir, Anandhi, and Yogi Babu in the lead roles while Santhosh Narayanan scores the music.

Now, along with three other un-released Tamil films, Pariyerum Perumal gets a very respectful honor. The film will be screened at the 2018 Goa International Film Festival. 

The other three Tamil films are director Ram's Peranbu, Tolet, and Baaram. Peranbu stars Mohanlal, Anjali and Thangameengal fame Sadhana in the lead roles. Interestingly, Pariyerum Perumal's director Mari Selvaraj is director Ram's associate and has also worked on Peranbu.

Along with these films, the Telugu blockbuster film Mahanati, the biopic of actress Savithri is also going to be screened. The film that had Keerthy Suresh reprising legendary actress Savithri. The film was also dubbed in Tamil as Nadigayar Thilagam and it performed very well in the box office.
