Why did Ilayathalapathy Vijay miss it?

As reported earlier, Vijay was supposed to do Anegan, before he himself suggested to director K.V.Anand that Dhanush take up the project. Even though Vijay was totally impressed with the script of Anegan when he heard it in late 2013, he couldn't do the movie due to his prior commitments for movies like Jilla and Kaththi.

It is heard that the director needed about 120 days of Vijay's time between Jilla and Kaththi to complete the movie, but Vijay didn't have that much time in his date-book. That's why he passed on the offer, and soon enough Dhanush came on board.

Anegan is now all set to release on February 13th.
