''Vishnuvardhan got in touch with us for Billa 2''

Recently our correspondents, Sudharshan and Venkat, had a special interview interaction with the writer duo, Suba (Suresh and Bala). In this very interesting chat, they said that they were supposed to do Billa 2 with Vishnuvardhan before the offer slipped away due to unavoidable reasons, and was done by another creative team.

"Vishnuvardhan got in touch with us to make Billa 2. He came up with the prequel idea and we found it challenging. Had it been a sequel, we would have been forced to stick to the character’s current image that was created in Billa. We believed a prequel would give us a lot of liberty in terms of the script and the character sketch.

But, we were held up with a bunch of projects already during that time and hence, asked Vishnu for a year’s time. In the meantime a lot of things happened and Billa 2 was made by a different team."
