TANU AND MANU RETURN TO CREATE A BOX-OFFICE STORM

The sequel to Tanu Weds Manu, titled Tanu Weds Manu Returns has taken the nation by storm and has raked in a big moolah at the box office. While the 3 day net in India is a massive 38.1 crores, the overseas business is also whopping. Despite the IPL finals, TWMR was unstoppable and the weekend days grew manifold when it came to collections.

 

The presence of Kangana Ranaut in dual roles, the superhit music and the brand value of the film's first part have all played a part in this huge business. Not to forget, the totally positive reviews from critics and the audience.

 

Madhavan meanwhile must be smiling wide too, as this is his comeback after quite a hiatus. He couldn't have asked for a better return. Arguably his biggest solo box-office hit in the making?

 

Will TWMR manage to breach the 100 crores net mark in India? Till date this year, none of the Hindi films have managed to cross this mark, including star vehicles such as Baby and Gabbar is Back.
