A charming new-age film with Sriya Reddy at the forefront

Directed by Velu and produced by Rajkumar of Leo Vision Productions, starring Sriya Reddy in the lead role, Andava Kaanom is a comedy film that is totally set in a village. It is reported that apart from Sriya, the rest of the cast in the film includes people who were handpicked directly from a village named T Pudhur in Theni. The complete film was shot there.

When our Behindwoods correspondent spoke to Rajkumar about the plot of the film, he said, "The film is about what happens when a woman loses her 'Andaa'. The entire story happens in a single day from morning to night when the protagonist creates a ruckus in the whole village when she figures that her 'Andaa' is lost".

About the live cast he said, "Yes, there are just about 100 families in the village and they have all acted in this film. Since it is a small village, they all know each other very well and have acted very convincingly".

Further, it is said that the film will have 2 songs where one is a love song and the other is a Thiruvizha song. The audio is likely to release by the first week of May and the film might hit the theaters by end of May or the first week of June.

Looks like Andava Kaanom is another new-age film that is here to create an impact. When we asked about the message the movie is going to send to people, VS Rajkumar said, "This film will actually showcase what are the basic priorities of people who live in a village, how different village life is from our city life and how their expectations are so meager."
