VEERAM, VEDALAM AND VIJAY 59…

Siruthai Siva’s films are known for their pacey narrative style, and with the look of things, Vedalam doesn’t seem different. The 45 secs teaser promises a pakka masala entertainer. Apparently fans might get to witness a longer promotional video (Trailer) soon by October end, most likely, a week before the film’s actual release.

Editors, in most cases, turn out to be the unsung heroes, as their work hardly gets noticed by the general audience. A typical mass entertainer requires some crisp cuts and ruthless edits to make the product tight.

Anthony Ruben takes care of the editing for Vedalam. One of the common facets between the teaser of Veeram and Vedalam, is Ruben. Though he wasn’t the editor for Veeram, he apparently was the one who worked on the teaser and other promotional cuts of the film. Veeram was more massy with slow motion shots, whereas Vedalam was kind of terrifying with some spooky acts of Ajith.

Ruben is working on a lot of projects right now including Vijay 59. To work on films with two of the major stars of the Tamil film industry, Vijay and Ajith, at the same time, is something special. He also has Sivakarthikeyan’s untitled film to be directed by Bakkiyaraj in his kitty.
