Aamir Khan's PK on the doorstep of box-office history

Jan 02, 2015

When films are hardly finding a way into the theatres and then managing to pull in audience resulting in reasonable collections, Rajkumar Hirani directed PK, starring Aamir Khan, is marching towards some alltime collection records.

And the number games are,
PK has supposedly 'netted' 276.32 crores (supposedly an all-time record for Indian films) at the Indian domestic box-office alone, at the end of its 2 weeks' run on January 1. PK is easily the highest grosser of the year 2014 too. If the illustrious run continues, the film will eventually be the first ever Indian film to 'net' 300 crores in the country, alone.
PK has 'grossed' more than 400 crores in India already.
PK 'netted' 13 plus crores on its 14th day (Jan 1) in India, and this further swelled its total considerably.
PK is bound to create an all time Indian box-office record, overtaking Dhoom 3 to become the highest grossing Indian film ever, worldwide.
Thanks to the subtitling and Aamir Khan's star power, PK is doing extra-ordinary business down South in Tamilnadu and Kerala as well. All the multiplexes are giving it the big screens until the Pongal releases arrive.
The speculations about banning the film haven't stopped the film from reaching out to the public or all the collection records.
One dream run for team PK ! A well-deserved feat.
