‘Swarnaakka’ Telangana Shakuntala passes away

Not many villain characters stay ever green in our minds and there haven’t been many female antagonists in Tamil cinema. One such favourite character of the masses was Swarnaakka from the movie Dhool. The character was played by ace Telugu artiste Telangana Shakuntala.

The veteran passed away yesterday night, 13th June, in Hyderabad. She was 63. According to reports the actress suffered a heart attack.

Telangana Shakuntala, who made her debut in 1981 has acted in over 70 films and has done a variety of characters.
