Judge defers judgment on Lingaa case

Sometime back Ravi Rathinam had filed a petition in the Madurai bench of Madras High Court stating that the Rajinikanth starrer Lingaa is actually his story 'Mullaivanam 999' which he had uploaded in YouTube and that the makers of Lingaa had stolen his story.

Director K S Ravikumar and Rajinikanth had filed their counter affidavits which stated that the story of Lingaa is written by Ponkumaran while additional elements were added in it, and that there was absolutely no truth in Ravi Rathinam’s petition.

When the case came for hearing, Justice Venugopal after hearing the arguments on both the sides, deferred his verdict without mentioning the date for judgment.
