Gautam Kurup recalls his Thuppakki days with Vijay

“I remember the scene when Vijay chops my fingers”

A R Murugadosss’s Thuppakki was a well made film that dealt about sleeper cells where Ilayathalapathy Vijay played the role of an army captain with elan. Although Vidyut Jamwal was the main antagonist, there were also other bad men in the film, the notable among them is Gautam Kurup who played one of the sleeper cells.

 

This Chennai born, Delhi based Malayalam actor has acted with the likes of Mohanlal and Amitabh Bachchan in films like Kandahar and Salaam Kashmir.

 

Although he has worked in many films, he recalls with fondness his Thuppakki days with Vijay. Gautam says, “The scene when Vijay chops my fingers in the film was a long one and Vijay was very supportive of me. He helped get the best from me. I can never forget those days”.

 

Gautam Kurup has also worked in Pudhiya Thiruppangal.
