After Rajini and Shahrukh, will it be Vijay?

After wrapping up work on Kaththi, directed by A.R.Murugadoss, Ilayathalapathy Vijay will move on to his 58th film, to be directed by Chimbu Deven. While we had earlier reported that A.R.Rahman is in talks to do the music composing for the movie, we now have concrete info that Deepika Padukone is almost sure to sign on for the lead heroine role.

 

There has been huge buzz surrounding both Deepika and Priyanka Chopra, as possible candidates to romance Vijay in this movie, but the current indications are towards the 'Chennai Express' beauty, thereby marking a huge casting coup by the team. The tall beauty was recently involved in Superstar's Kochadaiiyaan and is currently sharing the screen space with the 'King Khan', Shahrukh in Happy New Year. Will she return to the South this time for Vijay?

 

We aren't clear yet about the genre of this film as all the focus is on Kaththi now. The shoots of Vijay 58 will begin in August, after Vijay completes work on Kaththi.
