Deepika Padukone signs on for blockbuster Hollywood franchise
Sep 05, 2013Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone has made a giant leap in her career as she has signed on for a meaty role in Fast and Furious 7, starring the likes of biggies such as Vin Diesel, Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson. Fast and Furious is a long-running and successful action film franchise which has a big fan following all across the world.
Kangana Ranaut and Chitrangada Singh were also in the running for a part in the movie but Deepika has managed to bag this plum role after successfully auditioning for the role. Hollywood casting agents were in fact on the look out for someone who was slender and statuesque, in short someone like Deepika Padukone.
Deepika is currently in Dubai shooting for the SRK starrer, Happy New Year and she wasn't available for comment to the national media. Her paperwork is being worked out now and this one promises to make a huge splash not just for the tall beauty but for the Indian film industry in general. Fast & Furious 7 will release in July 2014.
