'Chennai Singapore', funded totally by Singapore

Promising composer Ghibran is fresh from all the accolades that he has been receiving for Amara Kaaviyam. The youngster also has films such as Vishwaroopam 2, Uttama Villain and Drishyam in hand. He has now signed on for another film and announced the same through his social media feed.

"My upcoming film project titled "Chennai Singapore" starring Sathya of #amarakaaviyam has commenced shooting. A joint venture with Kollywood and Singapore Government bodies for the first time. God be with us! #c2s"

We have a few more exclusive details here. The director of this film, Abbas is from Singapore and is an experienced documentary film maker. Ghibran and Abbas happen to be good friends too.

The plan is to shoot for 15 days in Singapore and 15 days in India, and the filming has commenced yesterday. Sathya would be joined by an international model as his on screen pair, while Praveen KL would be editing the film and Mukesh would be the cameraman. The Singapore government would be funding this ambitious project.
