No comedy and no glamour – Its Zero

Mankatha fame Ashwin K is working around an ancient ghost apparently. His next film, Zero, directed by V Arun Kumar is a supernatural thriller that revolves around a ghost from the biblical times, which possesses a girl. Ashwin takes up the mission of rescuing the heroine from the hold of the spirit. The word is that the director hasn’t given into any commercial compromises like unnecessary glamour or comedy sequences. He is confident about his script and is proceeding with the shoot at a good pace.

The team has completed 35 days of shoot in an apartment set erected at Binny mills. The next schedule will happen in and around Chennai for 30 days and they are also planning to shoot a schedule in the North of India.

Shivada Nair of Nedunchalai fame, JD Chakravarthy, Thulasi and Ravi Raghavendra will appear in important characters. While Ashwin plays a social worker in the movie, Shivada Nair features as a house wife. The word is that apart from horror, the film also has a lot of scope for romance.

Babu Kumar, a former assistant of Natty, is helming the camera and Sudharsan is editing the film. National Award winning costumer, Poornima is onboard the project too, along with art director Raju Mohan. Thegidi fame Nivas Prasanna is scoring music and Balaji Kapa is bankrolling the venture.
