Karthi tries French

For his new movie with Attakathi director Ranjith, tentatively titled Kaali, Karthi will be sporting a trendy French beard on screen for the first time, on the evidence of one of the on-location stills doing the rounds on the net. Till date, Karthi hasn't experimented much with his hair style or facial hair, after his memorable debut in a shaggy rural role in Paruthiveeran.

It must be noted that for Venkat Prabhu's Biriyani, Karthi has sported trendy outfits and a chic new hairdo.

The title Kaali is expected to undergo a change in the coming days, said director Ranjith a few days back. Catherine Tresa will be making her Tamil debut opposite Karthi in this flick.
