''Madras Cafe is anti-Tamil''

Aug 19, 2013

A special screening of the controversial John Abraham starrer Madras Café was arranged for the Naam Thamizhar party, who has been warning to go on a protest against the film. After watching the dubbed version of the film, Seeman, the head of the party, allegedly called it highly anti-Tamil.

Seeman reportedly said that the film portrayed late V Prabhakaran, the chief of LTTE as a villain. The film also supposedly revolves around the killing of Rajiv Gandhi and the events leading up to it. He also feels that the film should be banned in India, say reports.

However, John Abraham, in a recent press meet said that Madras Café doesn’t take sides and that as one of the producers of the film, he and his team had supposedly been particular about delivering the product in a way that it wouldn’t hurt the feelings of any particular community.

It is also reported that John plays a Research and Analysis Wing officer from Kerala.
