Happy Birthday Sathyaraj

Actor Sathyaraj is celebrating his 59^th birthday today, the 3rd October 2013. The actor, who is also called as Puratchi Thamizhan, debuted in Tamil Cinema in Sattam En Kayyil in the year 1978. He later acted in numerous movies like Kaakki Sattai and Vikram, in which he played the role of the antagonist.
 

Sathyaraj later played the lead roles in movies like Kadalora Kavithagal, Kadamai Kanniyam Kattupaadu, Makkal En Pakkam and Chinnappadas.
 

The actor has featured himself in over 130 films and also played Periyar in a biopic of the social activist Periyar Ramasamy Nayakar for which he won the Periyar award. Sathyaraj  is now being featured in supporting roles and has done pivotal characters in Nanban, Thalaivaa, Varuthapadatha Vaalibar Sangam and Raja Rani.
