The sensible and sentimental Cheran is back with yet another
movie based on the values of marriage system. Rings a bell
somewhere? Well, if you are of the opinion that all of Cheran’s
movies revolve around family and related issues, Raman Thediya
Seethai beg to differ. A close look into the storyline reveals
enough potential for a romantic entertainer.

Talking
about which, Raman Thediya Seethai is a story about
the protagonist – Cheran, to be precise –
who is in search of his perfect match for holy matrimony.
Apart from Cheran, the movie also stars Pasupathy and
Nitin Satya. While Pasupathy plays the role of a visually
challenged person, Nitin is a happy-go-lucky guy. The
movie is directed by Jegannathan, the erstwhile assistant
of Cheran.
RTS has Vimala Raman, Ramya Nambeesan, Gajala, Karthika,
and the Cheran favorite Navya Nair playing the lead
roles. The movie probably culminates with Cheran choosing
one of them to walk down the aisle. The interesting
happenings of the lives of the eight-member star cast
form the movie’s crux. Now, that provides scope
for all emotions including comedy, action and romance
in liberal dosage.
Vidyasagar’s music is another significant aspect
of RTS. Noted for his melodies, the musician is said
to have scored some lilting numbers for the movie. As
a novel attempt, he has recorded the songs using live
recording technique. It is also learnt that the same
technique has been used for background score as well.
All the songs have been shot in exotic locales including
the eyeballs grabbing Vimala Raman song that was shot
in one of the famous waterfalls in Kerala. |

Director
Jegannathan has had two box office cold turkeys in the names
of Pudiya Geethai and Kodambakkam. Although Kodambakkam did
not generate any promising income at the box-office, the movie’s
music was chart-topping.
If the movie cashes in on all the pluses to its credit and
the output is as promising as the storyline, RTS stands a
bright chance at the box office. Besides, the overdose of
Malayali quotient in the heroine list is sure to generate
curiosity.
RTS is a joint production venture of Moser Baer Entertainment
and Global One Studios. |
