Just as you thought long titles are out of fashion, here comes
Mudhal Mudhal Mudhal Varai - M3V in short. And we also thought
abbreviating long Tamil film titles are not an in thing either.
With a novel title, M3V also marks the big screen debut of
Krishnan Seshadri Gomatam, a renowned ad and short filmmaker.

His
ad background has definitely helped in promoting the
movie. The press releases are eye-catchers and grabs
attention instantly. The title only adds to the curiosity
demanding more than just a cursory glance at the poster.
But is that enough to hold the interest of curious onlookers?
The director apparently thinks so. In a recent interview
to media, he revealed that the movie is targeted at
the urban audience and deals with the lives of people
who made cities as their abode. Well, we thought the
recently released Hindi flick Metro was one such movie.
The director assures that M3V is a fun film and caters
to the pan-Indian audience.
Satyajith, a real life photographer, and a London-based
doctor Keevna play the lead in M3V. There are 98 actors
on the cast list playing roles or ordinary people we
meet in everyday life.
Aslam Mustafa of the famed ‘Ho Gayi Hai Mohabbat’
song scores for the movie and renowned names such as
editor B Lenin, art director Thotta Tharani, and cinematographer
Fowzia Fathima are behind this project. Besides, director
Gomatam himself has apprenticed with some of the kingpins
of the industry including Maniratnam and P C Sriram

The
stylishly edited trailer and tastefully executed promo stills
indeed stir the curiosity and the accomplished talents involved
in the project add up to it. However, a little more publicity
and marketing in today’s demanding environment could
help the movie. |
