The movie is due to be released on Thursday,
September 27, 2007. Boopathy Pandiyan had arranged
for a special screening of the movie for the Tamil
Nadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi at the Good luck
Preview Theatre in Chennai. Sources state that
the CM had thoroughly enjoyed the movie. To substantiate
the fact further, after the screening, director
Boopathy Pandiyan is seen gleefully addressing
his close sources on CM’s positive reaction
about the movie.
Boopathy has given Dhanush a break of sorts in
his career with the box office hit Thiruvilayadal
Arambam. Now, as it seems, he might as well be
on his way to recreate the box office history
with Malaikottai.
