Why is Kadavul having troubles with the heroines?
By Behindwoods News Bureau.
September 05, 2007
The search for heroine for Naan Kadavul, the dream project of director Bala commences once again with the news that the recently booked Karthika may also be shown the door soon. Bhavana was initially roped in to play the leading lady but she was soon sent back. Many heroines were tried but Bala was not satisfied.

Subsequently Karthika was booked and she was made to beg in the streets of Periyakulam and she was even said to have won Bala’s appreciation for her acting skills. However when the shots were seen, Bala felt they were not up to the mark and now he is once again on a ‘heroine mission’. On the other hand, when Karthika was contacted, the lady believed that she was still in the film and was not aware of anything else.

Meanwhile the names of many heroines were suggested to Bala, the main one being Neetu Chandra, a Bollywood actress who has acted in Traffic Signal as a cloth vendor on the road side. But Bala was not pleased with her North Indian looks and rejected her right away. Now sources say that Pooja may be ‘the ultimate beggar’ that Bala is looking for and she will be roped in as heroine. People who know Pooja swear by her straight forward behavior and opine that she may not tolerate Bala’s anger in the sets. It has also been said that she may not last long in Naan Kadavul and may quickly follow Bhavana’s way. Anyway, let us wait and watch.
