at the box-office, Dhanush is in need
of a hit to establish and eventually sustain
his star status in Kollywood. He is banking
on the upcoming Parattai Ennum Azhagu
Sundaram to revive his long gone ‘Kadhal
Konden’ glory.
However,
the flick has already run into controversy
when Rajusundaram who was assigned
the role of director was shown the
doors owing to his obligatory commitments
in Telugu. Suresh Krishna was roped
in to play the part later.
With the induction of Suresh Krishna,
the ace director who has been away
from the Tamil scene and is also in
need of a hit, the movie is definitely
expected to shape well. It is also
reported that Suresh Krishna who shares
a special kinship with Rajini has
advised Dhanush on the significance
of the name ‘Parattai’.
The
name Parattai is unforgettable for Rajini
fans as Rajini’s character in the
late 70s hit ‘16 Vayadhinile’
bears the same name, which eventually
shot Rajini into stardom making him a
household name in Tamil Nadu. Will the
new age ‘Parattai’ reap success
