Bharathirajaa
is a master of sentimental and romantic themes.
Of late, however, his brand of old world poetic
romance does not appeal to the bubble gum chewing,
SMSing crowd. His Kangalal Kaidhu Sei did nothing
to add to his stature. A sad commentary indeed.
However, his dream project called Kutra Parambarai
may well resurrect his image amongst the youth.
A sensitive storyteller, his films form an important
repertoire of Tamil film history. For today’s
Gen Y audience, he has decided to package the
film with the big name amongst today’s heroes
– Vikram. Cheeyan apparently lapped up the
story of Kutra Parambarai and has agreed to do
the film once his current commitments are over.
If the project gets off the ground, it would be
a collaboration between two magnificent artistes.
