team looks to be a collection of stars who
have had hits this year. Srikanth, whose
2006 has been quite good and is looking
even better with Uyir grabbing a lot of
attention. Bhavana, the girl from Kerala
who got noticed with her debut, Chittiram
Pesudhadi are coming together for Venthirai
Kaalam’s Kizhakku Kadarkkarai Saalai.
Is the Tamil too heavy, then try his, East
Coast Road. That’s what it is all
about. The story unfolds and winds up along
the East Coast road. The viewers can be
rest assured that the movie will surely
contain some very eye catching visuals of
the East Coast road in all it’s splendour,
especially at night with the bright lights
illuminating it at night. |

S.S.Stanley who had earlier given
us April Madhatthil and Mercury
Pookal has called the shots in this
movie. Both his earlier movies had
been quite enjoyable and sweet love
stories. Though both the movies
had managed to get some positive
reviews, neither could really convert
into a big hit. Stanley will be
looking to break the deadlock with
this movie. He seems to be in the
comfort zone with Srikanth, nothing
else can explain the fact that this
is his third venture with Srikanth.
Srikanth will also be eagerly looking
forward to the release of this movie
that can really push him up the
ranks, especially after the good
showing of Uyir.

Bhavana
is meanwhile just warming up for her stint
in Kollywood, her other projects at the
moment are Arya with Madhavan and Deepavali
with Jeyam Ravi. The works of the movie
have almost been completed and the movie
is expected to hit theatres by September.
The cast of the movie also includes Suresh,
who is making a comeback with this movie.
The experienced artiste with more than 100
movies to his credit is making a comeback
with this movie. His role is reportedly
a meaty one with scope to perform. |

apart, the movie is expected to
be a racy entertainer, in keeping
with the pulse of the party atmosphere
of the ECR. Some of the romantic
scenes in the movies are sure to
set the gossip mills working overtime,
with the lead pair having shown
excellent chemistry. There is a
rumoured kiss scene in the movie.
Bhavana was not too forthcoming
about this scene when asked about
it at a recent press conference
held to publicize the movie. She
tried to get away by saying that
it was just a trick shot. How true
that is remains to be seen.

only details that were revealed about Srikanth’s
character is that he plays an employee at
a petrol bunk on the ECR. Nothing else was
disclosed. Anthanan, who is Srikanth’s
manager, is producing the movie. This speaks
volumes about the trust between the actor
and director, which is extremely essential
for the success of a project.
The recipe seems to be perfect for a good
romantic movie which can get the producers
and distributors and above all the audience
happy. But , will it click, wait and watch. |
