Chennaitainment, an events and public
relations firm run by Vanitha Vijayakumar,
conducted an event called the Ilayaraja
Night on October 27th, 2010 at the Karma
Lounge and Bar at Le Waterina. Several
socialites, film personalities and Ilayaraja
fans participated in this event.
Venkat Ramani, director and DJ churned
out some of the best Ilayaraja hits from
the 1980s keeping the audience enthralled.
There were gifts for all those who answered
simple questions posed during the event.
The proceeds of this event will be used
for the work done by Disha Foundation,
an NGO working towards child welfare.
