Pokkisham is all set to be screened
at the Mumbai International Film
Festival. The film, directed by
Cheran, who also plays the male
lead, was not a major commercial
success but this is a morale booster,
says Cheran.
He was quoted by The Hindu as saying,
“There have been some criticism
about the film and its commercial
failure has affected me a lot. This
entry into a prestigious film festival
is certainly a big morale booster…
I had put in a lot of effort to
make this movie, which I strongly
believe is a new venture in Tamil
film industry. Our team made sure
the period film has a lot of details
to make it more authentic.”
Fourteen Indian films have been
chosen to be screened at the Indian
Film Showcase and Pokkisham is one
