films. Interestingly, Ameer and Karthi did
not speak to each other during the entire
event. Further, when the entire Paruthiveeran
team was given the award, comprising a memento
and a shield, Ameer refused to accept it
and asked the organizers to hand them over
to Karthi and Priyamani. After much coaxing,
Ameer finally agreed to take home the memento,
but declined to accept the shield. Aishwarya
Dhanush received the award on behalf of
her dad Rajinikanth. Nila, Namitha, Reema
Sen and Sangeetha caught the attention of
the audience with their intriguing dance.
