Censor Board official Rajashekar, IFS,
was arrested by the CBI yesterday at Censor
Board office, which functions at Shastri
Bhavan, Chennai. Rajashekar had demanded
Rs. 1 lakh from the producer of Kadhal Solla
Vandhen to certify the film. The producer
Jayakumar filed a complaint and the CBI
immediately sprung into action.
It is shocking to note that Rajashekar
had assumed duty on June 17th and this is
the first time a Censor Board official has
been arrested for accepting bribe. Kadhal
Solla Vandhen is a love story that has newbie
Balaji playing the protagonist. He is the
son of minister Paruthi Ilamvazhuthi.
