New dad to Jeyam Ravi

Who can forget the chirpy, bubbly Manohar in Mouna Ragam who wooed Revathy with such a suave demeanor? A character that was immortalized by Karthik and which also acted as a benchmark for many a budding romantics. This talented actor took a sabbatical of sorts from arc lights a few years back and changed his interest to politics. Some

time back he was said to have been roped in for the film Sivalingam I P S with Sathyaraj. But unfortunately the film could not take off.

However, it looks like Karthik is taking his film career very seriously and is now reported to be doing a key role in his mentor Mani Rathnam’s upcoming film. Meanwhile, industry sources also aver that Karthik has also accepted a film in which he will be playing Jeyam Ravi’s father. This project will be directed by Boopathy Pandian who gave Dhanush his much needed hit Thiruvilayadal Aarambam. This yet to be titled flick will be produced by Gnanavel of Studio Green Films.
