Kuthu Ramya to follow Padayappa Ramya

In Tamil cinema, or for that matter in Indian cinema, it is seldom that a story is written keeping a woman as a central point. Within the set limitations women have been proving their mettle and in such a scenario, lady artists will have to work doubly harder than their male counterparts to establish their credentials in this male dominated profession.

Ramya Krishnan is one such artist who stole the heart of everyone with her sterling albeit negatively shadet performance in Padayappa with a costar as powerful as super star Rajinikanth. She in fact became a trendsetter of sorts for women to opt for such roles.

Following her path, Divya the Polladhavan star will be showcasing her villainy skills in the upcoming Thoondil directed by K S Adhiyaman. Shaam and Sandhya are happily married couple in whose life enters Divya, a London model by profession. Recently, intimate scenes between Shaam and Divya were shot in an island called ‘No Man’s Island’ where the crew had to travel for three hours by boat to reach the place. According to the director, shooting at this island was a memorable one and the hard work of the entire unit can be perceived in the film which will be ready for release in February. Thoondil will also be remade in Hindi.
