The
film titled DAM999, which is the first movie
from the Mariners, is produced by Biz TV Network
(promoters of Marine Biz TV, the first global
Maritime Channel) based in UAE. Though it is
touted to be a commercial film, the film will
be showcased in various film festivals that
take place across the globe. It has in fact
completed its pre-publicity at the 62nd Cannes,
HKIFF, Marbella Film Festival, Australian Movie
Convention, Middle East Film Festival and Toronto.
According to an official press release, “DAM999
is about 9 characters, 9 moods and dam of emotions.
Each character has got its own importance and
the symbolic 9 has got its reference in history.
The story revolves around the 100 year old dam
built during the colonial days.”
The crew includes Ajayan Vincent as DOP, Thotta
Tharrani as art director, Sreekar Prasad as
editor, Shajith Koyeri (Kaminey, Omkara,Black)
as sound designer, Ousephachan as music composer,
Pattanam Rasheed as make-up artist and S.B.
