The average number of films made in Hindi is about 250 while it touches 500 in all the south Indian languages put together. The biggest Hindi hit last year, Bunty aur Babli, grossed Rs. 45 crores which pales against the Rs.110 crores raked in by Rajinikanth's Chandramukhi.
