At least one person died and seven others were injured after a spinning amusement park ride called the ‘Fire Ball’ malfunctioned on the opening day of the Ohio State Fair in the United States. The fire department said that the ride had malfunctioned throwing riders into the air. Republican Governor John Kasich said he had ordered a full investigation and also ordered that all fair rides be shut down until additional safety inspections can be completed.
