United States President Donald Trump on Thursday said there is a possibility of a major conflict with North Korea over its repeated nuclear and ballistic programmes and testing. Speaking to Reuters, Trump said, "There is a chance that we could end up having a major, major conflict with North Korea. We'd love to solve things diplomatically, but it's very difficult. Even a military option is not off the table.” Meanwhile, China, North Korea’s said the situation on the Korean Peninsula could escalate or slip out of control.
