Tamil Nadu government has reportedly lost 15% of its revenue after the Supreme Court’s new rule on banning liquor shops near national highway. The apex court on March 31 banned the sale of liquor on national highways thus closing 5,700 TASMAC shops in Tamil Nadu. According to reports, the government lost 730 crore revenue over banning liquor on highways.
