Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Thursday reportedly approved the supply of free rice to the Mosques during the fasting month of Ramzan. According to reports, more than 4,900 tonnes of free rice will be supplied to some 3,000 mosques in the state. Notably, the scheme was reportedly started by late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
