The Tamil Nadu government had reportedly slashed the guideline value for registration of sale deed of properties by 33 percent on Friday. According to reports, the government has revised the rate to bridge the loss of revenue due to the hike in the registration fee. The government had earlier hiked the registration fee for conveyance (sale), exchange and gift to 4 percent from 1 percent.
