Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has reportedly said that the Centre had taken the decision to conduct surgical strikes along the Line of Control soon after the Uri attack. According to reports, Rajnath revealed that he chaired a meeting with PM Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and other officials after hearing that 17 soldiers were killed at Uri and they decided to carry out the attack along LoC.
