Siddaramaiah defends demand for separate flag of Karnataka

Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah on Tuesday reportedly defended the demand for a separate flag for the state. Slamming the BJP which said creating a separate flag is “anti-national”, Siddaramaiah asked, “Is there any provision in the Constitution which is prohibiting a state to have its own flag? Did BJP people come across any provision?” The state government earlier on Tuesday constituted a nine-member committee to submit a report on the possibility of designing a separate flag for the state.
