At least 24 people dead and many lost their home in a major flood that affected 14 districts of Assam. Notably, The state has opened 128 relief camps for people displaced and has made arrangements for drinking water, rice, and medical teams. The flood-affected districts include Lakhimpur, Jorhat, Golaghat, Sivasagar, Cachar, Dhemaji, Biswanath, Karimganj, Sonitpur, and Hojai.
