According to reports, the BCCI has received only ten applications for the India head coach post this year, in comparison to 57 CVs coming in for the same post last year. Notably, the ten applicants for the post this year include Ravi Shastri, Virender Sehwag, Tom Moody, Phil Simmons, among others. BCCI called for applications in May, extending the deadline until July 9 after Anil Kumble's resignation.
